You do know why they closed, right?? Something to do with rat droppings and the health code! I once found a box of pudding in there in the original packaging from tehe 1970s
Uh oh. I’ve got some Junket Rennen Custard from the about the same time period that I’ve hoarded for years because I cannot find it anymore. Hope my kitchen won’t be closed. But we don’t have rat droppings (yet).
The Oakhurst Market is “coming soon” in the building just to the right of this lot and is an offshoot of the Oakgrove Market (www.oakgrovemarket.com). Interiors are underway. And Farm Mobile will have another delivery for us to enjoy.
And reported earlier on DM (I think) is a new church in the vacant building. No reason here for another negative diatribe about the owner, the property, etc. All things in due time. Motorized visitors to the village and businesses enjoy the free parking, and residents are glad it’s off-street. Personally I’d rather see it maintained (key word) in it’s empty state than experience a revolving door of failed business ventures that make an attempt at the wrong time.
such a sad little strip in such a rocking neighborhood.

So glad Dollar General didn’t mess up the groovy vibe of that derelict property.
I miss the Big H. It was like the Hop N Shop on crack. Literally.

Someone with much more $$$ than me please buy this eyesore and develop it into something great.
It’s mildly incredible that the property sits so empty.
Pretty sure that says a lot about its owner…but hey, the guy sure plays a hand all the way through…

All this about the Big H but no love for the Farm Mobile? http://www.grassfedcow.com/farmmobile.html
Looks awesome!
Here is hoping that some things wonderful come to that abandon part of Oakhurst.
Waiting with excitement …

is it just me or is the dullest picture ever??
wle
@wle– it wasn’t the picture itself that led me to submit it. I thought some folks might chime in with their experiences with the Farmobile.
I don’t know what the farmobile is. Can someone tell me?
