A few years ago, I was driving an out of town colleague from Midtown to a lunch appointment at Thumbs Up. It was during the summer when everything is out and Ponce from Moreland east is a nice enough streetscape, but I remember when when came down the hill around the curve at the post office and Christian church to the full view of the West Ponce streetscape his remark was an “Oh, wow!”. He was really impressed with the whole downtown scene.
