Decatur Touch-A-Truck Event Rescheduled Due to Rain
Decatur Metro | March 4, 2011Oh no! Decatur Active Living’s Cheryl Burnette writes in…
We have rescheduled the Touch A Truck Event for April 30 due to the 100% chance of rain. We hope to see everyone in April!
I don’t want to minimize the importance of the length of the elementary school day, but this is a REAL hardship for the 3 year old crowd. The 3 year old listservs, Facebook pages, and Twitter are buzzing. When you are only 36 months old, waiting 2 months for your favorite Decatur activity is a real hardship!
What would you suggest, Karass?
Oh, I think the City made a completely reasonable decision (see “wet truck” comment below). I just needed to think about another constituent group besides CSD families. We ignore our 3 year olds to our peril! Who do we think will be supporting us in our old age when Social Security, corporate pensions, 401Ks, IRAs, have all gone belly up?! We need interim short-term truck therapy to tide them over until April.
Nobody wants to touch a wet truck.
