Funny this was the lead entry- I logged on to report that I just got back 1/2 hour ago from Little Kroger, and had great experience. Aisles busy, but well stocked and short check out lines- plus very friendly high schoolers at the register/bagging. If anyone still needs to go to the store, Little Kroger is serving us all well right now.
We had a good experience today, too. About 12:45, I guess, after church. Things seems fully stocked, and there were plenty of lines open. We were in and out in five minutes. Glad we had beer at home left over from NYE, what with it being Sunday!
The Little Kroger has never left me with bad experiences or dashed expectations. It’s cozy, the staffers are friendly, and I nearly always run into neighbors. Better still, it’s not a den of exotic temptations that leaves me wondering how I managed to spend $50 rather than $15. For small, basic food runs, it hits the spot.
Let me add a note for tonight’s shoppers … The Chili Monster has been on a rampage through the shelves at Publix. Clearly, we all have some weird psychological need to eat beans and such during snowstorms.
My spouse went about 2PM and had a good experience. She reported that most people were only buying one or two items (like her) and they were “movin’ them through”.
Big Kroger was out of milk at 12:30 today. Should be restocked by now but according to one of the managers, yesterday people were checking out with multiple gallons in their carts. Insane.
Mystery meat!
why do we all buy bread & milk before the big storm? Perhaps those would go well
with some unknown frozen item ……
Ha. Thanks for the much-needed laugh.
Dear, what’s for dinner tonight?
I don’t know.
