Dog Found on Westchester Drive
Decatur Metro | August 30, 2010Phillip posted this on Free-For-All Friday last week, but I wanted to give it a bit more exposure. Here are the facts thus far, according to Phillip…
- Found on August 26th on Westchester Drive
- Female, all black with a graying muzzle.
- She has been neutered and still has the metal staples from the surgery. Vet’s haven’t used metal staples for about 4 or 5 years.
- She has excellent teeth and has been well kept.
- Only a black nylon collar, with no tags, was around her neck.
If you recognize this dog, please contact Phillip at
She’s pretty, hope she gets back to her family soon!
Anybody take her to the vet to get scanned? Maybe she has an I.D. Chip?
They have already taken her to the vet. There is no chip.
I hope they’ve notified the humane societies and Dekalb Animal Services in case the owner is looking for the dog via those routes.
Of course, most of all, I hope the owner is looking for her! She looks like a sweetie.
She sure looks at home to me. What about it, Phillip?
Oh, I wish we could keep her, but one dog is already enough. No more room in the bed.
@runswithdogs, today we are calling the humane society. Thanks for that reminder.
We did have one caller that thought they recognized the dog from the Ridgecrest Road area, so we’ll put up a few flyers over there in the next day or so.
The dog (still no name yet) has a temporary home and is doing quite well. She has two kids and a cat to keep her company.
