I see a woman in the night
With a baby in her hand
Under an old street light
Near a garbage can
Now she puts the kid away,
and she’s gone to get a hit
She hates her life,
and what she’s done to it
There’s one more kid
that will never go to school
Never get to fall in love,
never get to be cool.
Great photo for a creative writing exercise. “Write a 500 word fictional essay inspired by this photo….”.
All that comes to mind at the moment is “Breast is best!” or “The Breastfeeding Police strike again!”
Pretty bottle in a not-so-pretty place.
Those are Dr. Brown’s. Not the cheapest bottle to lose.
And I sure hope that isn’t some mother’s laboriously pumped breastmilk in there!
yes–dr. browns are the best!
the creepiest eye on the street thus far!
Isn’t this just a case of a litterer getting an early in his career?

Joe Blow Keeps on Rockin’ in the Free World.
Reminds me of the short story Hemingway wrote to win a bar bet: For Sale: Baby shoes, never worn.
Keep on rockin’ in the free world!
Those blasted baby milkaholics…always throwing their empties in the street….
That’s a really strong image. Nice eye!
This is a really striking photo and well-shot, but exceedingly sad to me.
Is that cop in the background fixin’ to ticket that baby for littering?
That is a disquieting image.
Off topic: That “tag cloud” is really cool. I’ve not seenone of those before.
I think the baby was commenting on the potholes. Smart baby!
Baby don’t know the words that people say…
Baby only know what the people feel!
