25+ Family Yard Sale in Winnona Park This Weekend
Decatur Metro | May 12, 2010Anne’s got the info…
The Winnona Park Neighborhood Association would like to invite you a to the Winnona Park Community-wide Yard Sale on this coming Saturday. Over 25 families are participating, so there will be lots of great finds.
Start at 140 Winnona Drive, 30030. We will have maps available while they last, directing you to the sales we know about. Please forward all this information to your mailing lists, if appropriate.
Join us from 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM, May 15th.
Winnona Park is located near Agnes Scott College and the Columbia Seminary in Decatur, GA. The primary bordering streets of our community are S. Columbia Drive, E. College Ave., S. Candler Street, and Midway Road. (East/North/West/South). Look for signs on these roads directing you to the sites.
It will be helpful to note that the Decatur-DeKalb YMCA has soccer games for young children in the park of the elementary school from 9 AM to 1 PM. Please, then, be careful of young children as you drive through the neighborhood. Also, the games bring a lot of vehicles on the streets adjacent to the school. For the Yard Sale, please attempt to park on streets other than the streets adjacent to the school (see map).
Thanks and enjoy a nice walk in the neighborhood, as well as a fun sale -
Anne-Christine Armstrong (678-327-5374) and Arlene Cauthorn (404-775-6530)

I think your tinyurl link is wrong
I’m not convinced that the Las Palmas Chamber of Commerce isn’t working in tandem with our yard-sale. WP is all about wielding the influence; all the way to the Canary Islands, if necessary. Well, influence peddling and snappy tag sales, if truth be told.
At Saturday’s yard sale at 707 Avery St. we will be selling used, donated books with all proceeds going into Decatur Education Foundation’s Book Club Fund which provides funds for low-income students to purchase books at the school book fairs. Last year we paid for over $9,000 worth of books, making sure that ALL children have access to great books and inspiring a love of reading.
Be sure to drop buy, get some great books and support a great cause.
If you have books to donate (children’s or adult) you can leave them on the covered porch of 707 Aveny anytime this week.
