Is Ridley Circle off of Scott named after his family by any chance?

No, Ridley Circle is named for the former owner of the land, John F. Ridley,
my grandfather. No kin to Commissioner Ridley of Decatur.

Ah, thanks. And are you kin to the former Lieutenant Governor Pierre Howard?

Mr Ridley’s only term on the City Commission was marked by the fact that he was often the only Commissioner voting in the minority on many matters.

Interesting. On what sort of “matters”?

I’ll just say that Mr. Ridley’s repuation is less than stellar.

Honestly, I’m trying to figure out how being a minority-party state Senator makes one qualified to be ambassador to Singapore, unless Sen. Adelman has it in for Michael Fay. (1992 is in the house, yo).

AACK. I will miss David and his emails, and responsiveness. Why must the competent be shuttled off across the world?
