Lalah alerts us to the coming Pine Lake Lakefest from our artistic Pine Lake neighbors out US78 to the east.
Though I used to live very close to Pine Lake, I’ve never ventured out to this city. I’m always amazed at how many interesting enclaves there are tucked into the forested landscape of metro Atlanta.

I wouldn’t take US 78 to get to Pine Lake. From I-285 take Memorial Drive eastbound and take a right on Rockbridge. Pine Lake is perhaps a mile and a half on the left

Thanks so much, DM! Just one further word on events. In addition to the music, food and artist vendors, there will be a sandcastle building contest on Saturday and a Float-zilla (a monster of a flotilla) water parade to close the festival and the beachfront for the summer. Both are open to the public, both offer prizes in various categories. Hope to see you there!
