Parker’s On Ponce Becomes Meow Meow Cafe
August 10, 2009 | 9:07 am…for today’s Drop Dead Diva filming.
Scott sends in a couple somewhat mystical and dreamy iPhone shots from the street.
Is that a tandem bicycle I see?
Also @brickstorepub has posted a sideways pic of the filming going on inside the Brick Store, which is closed ’til 2p today for shooting.

When I saw this today my first reaction was sadness that Parker’s was already out of business, then surprise that I hadn’t read anything about it on this blog. Eventually the giant truck full of props, and roaming hoardes of gaffers tipped me off that this was yet another film set. Somehow though I can’t imagine eating someplace called the meow meow cafe. Hopefully it’s not supposed to be a Chinese restaurant.
Also *film continuity alert* the Hi-Tech that’s been converted to a New Jersey gas station would not have a self serve island.
Maybe it is where all the “hip cats” hang out!!
The photos are mystical and dreamy. I like ‘em. Wish my phone had an app for ‘make this pic cool.’
Can someone explain how you can get photos with that kind of depth of field from the iPhone?
1. Remove phone from waist.
2. Activate camera function.
3. Point lens at subject (not your own eye).
4. Click button to capture image.
5. Upload to DM.
6. Read ooh’s and aah’s from DM bloggers.
Yeah, I know. I’m a smart a$$. But I’ve always maintained it’s better than being a dumba$$.
