There are certainly roundabouts south of I-20. To see one of them, do a Google Maps search for:
Hemlock CIR SE and Berne ST SE, Atlanta, GA

BP plans on removing the buildings and underground storage tanks at the site. In preparation for its sale, BP will remediate the soil that has been contaminated.

The Roundabout will DEFINITELY be worth it. I live nearby and have to go through the 5-way intersection on a daily basis. Without exception I see 30 second intervals where no car is moving through the intersection because of the light timing while cars wait at one of the other four lights. The roundabout should benefit the traffic situation on N. Decatur and also help out the businesses in the village by creating a more pedestrian friendly area. I'm not saying it'll look just like the artistic renderings of the area but it should draw in more people who currently are turned off by the mass of asphault, powerlines and exhaust.

I don't remember the intersection of lullwater as being a nightmare. I've lived nearby for long time.

Funny how they only use them in trendy hoods like Candler Park, Morningside or Druid Hills. Never seen one south of I20. Hmmmm.....

There's also one on the north end of Morningside Dr / Rock Spring Rd near Piedmont (5 streets intersect) and at Howard Circle and McLendon Ave - both work just fine.

If it's anything like it's little cousin at Lullwater, it'll be worth it. That one has made a nightmare intersection into a breeze.
