Eesh. It’s a bad day for places called five points – no news yet on wsbtv or ajc re: L5P, but this news regarding marta cops shooting a knife-wielding (potentially homeless) man.

My guess is drug related. That area is where vagrants typically congregate.
I saw that this morning too. Right by my place, the scene was taped off, could have been drugs, hypothermia, who knows? I have seen no news coverage. I know several of the regular homeless in the area but have not talked to anyone today…
I saw that yesterday too. Today the bench is still taped off and there seems to be some kind of trinkets or flowers on the railing behind the bench. Does anyone know what happened?
